  • Support for families during lockdown 18th Jan Support for families during lockdown Norfolk County Council have put together this useful leaflet for families who are home learning during lockdown. It provides helpful information on a number of topics including emotional wellbeing and mental health, food and financial support and cyber safety.

  • RSC Competition Winners 17th Dec RSC Competition Winners During the school closure period some of the students who attended the Year 7 and 8 science club, lab rats, entered a competition set by the RSC and 4 of them were selected as winners. For this they each get a certificate and voucher and the school gets £250 to spend on new equipment.

  • Collection of Exam Certificates 2020 10th Dec Collection of Exam Certificates 2020 We would like to invite students to collect their Exam certificates from the school. Certificates will be available from Monday 14th December.  To collect certificates, students will need to book an appointment.
  • CNS Festive Themed Day 7th Dec CNS Festive Themed Day On Friday 17th December, we will be encouraging students to wear something festive and make a donation for Nelson's Journey, a crucial service that supports bereaved children and young people in Norfolk. 
  • Sixth Form Supporting Norwich Foodbank 7th Dec Sixth Form Supporting Norwich Foodbank Sixth Form are once again supporting Norwich Foodbank in providing food parcels for single people, couples (two people which could be an adult couple or single parent and child) and families – either two adults and two children or one adult and three children.

The term has flown by and with two more weeks until the end of term I remain overwhelmingly impressed by the adaptability of students and staff. Attendance of all members of the community remains strong and thank you for keeping us informed of any absence.

  • Children in Need 30th Nov Children in Need Following our Non-school Uniform Day and the subsequent Year 8 Charities Day last week, we are happy to announce that we have now raised a fantastic £894.59 in total for Children in Need.
  • Headteacher's Message, Friday 27th November 2020 27th Nov Headteacher's Message, Friday 27th November 2020 Teachers and Year 7 parents were able to meet together last night via our hugely successful Virtual Parents Evening. This would have been unthinkable a year ago and yet we have had four parents' evenings using this approach and the feedback is very positive.  My thanks to colleagues and parents for embracing the new technology to enhance the learning of our students and build relationships with our Year 7 families. 
  • Key Stage 5 maths students achieve success in the UKMT maths challenge 27th Nov Key Stage 5 maths students achieve success in the UKMT maths challenge This year, the Senior UKMT Maths challenge had to be done under very different circumstances.  Candidates had to do the challenge in a new and more challenging online format under strict time limits. 30 students from CNS took part.

  • The Lockdown Diaries Story Collection 20th Nov The Lockdown Diaries Story Collection Over the past few months, the organisers of the UEA FLY Festival have been busy pulling together some of the entries that were  submitted for their '8 Week Challenge' and/or 'Great Escape' competition and have used them to create The Lockdown Diaries Story Collection.
