Admissions Consultation

 Admissions Consultation 2019

At City of Norwich School, An Ormiston Academy, we are committed to ensuring that we provide ‘Excellence In All’ to our local community. CNS has served its community for over 100 years, remaining loyal to its historic roots whilst continually regenerating and redefining itself to meet the needs of all members of its school community.

Based on the current and future needs of our local community, the school is currently consulting on increasing the Pupil Admission Number to 270 with a Sixth Form of a maximum of 450. This is in order that the official Pupil Admission Number reflects our current cohort sizes.

In addition, as part of CNS’s commitment to a broad and balanced curriculum and as part of the high-quality provision and opportunity in the Arts, (supported by our partnership with The Guildhall School of Music and Drama), we are seeking to offer Music Scholarships. Students who secure a CNS Music Scholarship will have enhanced access to internal and external music provision and make a commitment to music provision at CNS.

For students with a potential for or aptitude in music, CNS is proposing that up to 10% of places will be allocated on these criteria. This is a unique opportunity and one which will place CNS at the forefront of music education locally, regionally and nationally.

The consultation period ends on 31st January 2018.
