CNS jazz trio win the Shorten Cup

Congratulations to Theo, Charlie and Alasdair who, as the CNS jazz trio, were awarded the Shorten Cup at this year's Norfolk County Music Festival. 

Many musicians from CNS performed in the two-week festival which was founded in 1925 to encourage and support amateur music-making, singing, and teaching.   It provides a wonderful opportunity for learners at all levels to perform under concert conditions in front of a friendly audience.

The Shorten Cup was given by Arthur Shorten, the founder of the Festival for instrumental chamber music, to encourage small ensemble playing.  This is the second year running that CNS has won the award.
