CNS wins Anti-Bullying Award

Students and staff at City of Norwich School are celebrating following being awarded a BIG Award 2018-19 for Excellence In Challenging Bullying.

BIG (Bullying Intervention Group) is a national award for outstanding anti-bullying practice in organisations. Members work to meet the externally agreed criteria and being given the award shows that our school takes bullying seriously enough to work towards accepted good practice.

Val McFarlane, Director, Bullying Intervention Group said:

City of Norwich School work very hard to ensure that their students feel safe and can learn in a happy and caring environment. They have an up to date and robust anti-bullying policy, a peer support scheme, staff training and awareness raising, these are vital when working pro-actively against bullying and friendship issues. They involve students in all of their anti-bullying strategies, and keep up links with parents and families so that everyone knows their role in the prevention and reaction to incidents. I am delighted that they have now achieved the BIG Award. Congratulations to all students, staff and parents
