City of Norwich School

City of Norwich School - an Ormiston Academy is searching for a new Chair of Governors to lead its local governing body.  If you have the skills and experience in education/governance that you think could contribute to giving our pupils the best opportunities to succeed, we would love to hear from you! This post is particularly suited to an experienced Chair or Vice Chair of Governors.

City of Norwich School – An Ormiston Academy has served its community for over 110 years, remaining loyal to its historic roots whilst continually regenerating and redefining itself to meet the needs of all members of its school community. Our school motto of ‘Excellence In All’ reflects our vision of achieving the very highest standards in everything we do. To find out more about Excellence at CNS please go to our website https://www.cns-school.org/

Our aspiration is for all governing bodies in the trust to include governors who are from diverse ethnic groups, and who represent a variety of ages, sexualities, disabilities, and other protected characteristics.  We know that a range of lived experiences on governing bodies changes the quality of questioning and challenge, making schools better places for children to learn and enabling them to see people “like them” in senior leadership roles.
