DofE Bronze Expedition

We were incredibly lucky to enjoy temperatures of up to 18 degrees at some points last weekend. Even so, spare a thought for the 37 students who undertook their practice bronze expedition.

The three day trip saw the students walking approximately 30km, carrying a quarter of their body weight on their backs and being entirely self sufficient, cooking, cleaning and setting up their own accommodation for the evenings in the form of a tent.

All arrived in high spirits and very full of sugar! The stars on the North Norfolk Coast were amazing and many students took the opportunity to stargaze on the first night.

A wonderful weekend was had by all and our thanks go to the DofE staff team who give up their time (and sometimes sanity!) to ensure that students have this amazing opportunity to achieve an internationally recognised award.
