One particular student that deserves admiration is Ved Kumar. Ved was one of two remarkable Year 6 pupils at Eaton Primary School who came to CNS each week to be taught Further Maths by Head of Maths, Mr Rollison.
Ved studied for his GCSE in Further Maths, along with 23 Year 11 students. The group spent two hours every week after school, extending their knowledge and understanding of mathematics and Ved came and collected the result of his hard work this morning.
“I am nervous and excited about finding out what I have” he said. As it was, there was no need for him to be nervous. Ved got A* which is a fantastic achievement. He will be joining CNS in Year 7 in September.

Sahand Faghih is testament to hard work and determination. Sahand arrived in the UK with his family as a refugee from Iran and when he joined CNS in Year 7, he could not speak a word of English. His learning was done through a translation app on a tablet until he was fluent enough in English to understand lessons unaided.
Sahand is a determined individual who has high aspirations. He has achieved one Grade 9, five Grade 8s, two Grade 5s and a Distinction in PE. He will be continuing his studies at CNS Sixth Form, studying Chemistry, Biology and Maths.
