Exciting week of events for Y6 induction
Year 6 students who are starting at CNS in September enjoyed a packed week of events at CNS. Each child wore a t-shirt in their House colours and met new friends who are now part of their House team.
In a big school like CNS, your House is your family, they are the people looking after you and making sure you are OK. Get to know the people in your house and what it represents, so that when you come in September, you will know who you belong to, your house leader, pastoral leader and form tutors. Students enjoyed a range of lessons across all subject areas, from Science, to Maths and English. They watched a French play for Modern Foreign Languages, made wooden boats in Design and Technology and performed music, drama and dance as part of a 'Spooktacular' theme in Expressive Arts.
The Y6 students enjoyed a clubs fair, learning about all the extra-curricular activities on offer at CNS and on the last day, there was a treasure trail around the school, ending with a BBQ.
