Festival of Reading

It's Festival of Reading week this week here at CNS and over the next few days there will be a series of events and activities celebrating the learning and enjoyment we experience through reading a range of fiction and nonfiction. 

Students will be able to participate in book swap shops, literary quizzes and creative writing competitions.

Across the curriculum, all subject areas will be focusing on reading extracts or texts to develop our students’ cultural literacy. Students will be concentrating on learning and applying the academic language of each subject area through reading and interrogating various styles of texts.
