Headteacher's Message, Friday 10th June 2022
I hope everyone had a lovely extended bank holiday weekend. I have been shown many photos of local Platinum Jubilee celebrations and if you were involved, I hope the weather didn’t dampen spirits.
We will be hosting our own celebratory community event on July 9th, fondly known as the CNSFest. The event is organised by our parent association the CNSA, Miss Cook and Mr Innes. It is several years since we have been able to run the event and it is intended to be a community gathering as well as a fund-raising opportunity. The CNSA team are working hard to ensure a breadth of stalls and activities for all ages; this takes tremendous commitment, and I am grateful to all the volunteers who are working tirelessly on the school’s behalf. If the CNS Fest or the CNSA is something you can contribute to in any way, please email mailcnsa@gmail.com and if you wish to attend, gates open from 12 pm until 4 pm on July 9th.
In school, exams are in full swing with pupils continuing to show determination to succeed and invigilators have commented on the exemplary attitudes of our students. The rest of the school has had a calm and happy start to the half term, with the extra space relinquished by Years 11 and 13 on the field and in the canteen areas being warmly appreciated by all.
I am looking forward to the weekend and catching up at home having been away over half term. I hope you have a safe and happy weekend in the warm June sunshine.
