Headteacher's Message, Friday 11th December 2020
It has been another busy and focused week at CNS, though we have allowed ourselves some Christmas cheer. Year 7 had their Christmas lunch yesterday, normally this would be a whole school event but with the Catering Team running six different serveries this was not possible this year. Year 7 had a wonderful time and enjoyed a delicious roast turkey dinner followed by Choc-ice or Christmas pudding. Thank you to all staff involved in making this event happen.
Students have coped remarkably well this term and I couldn’t be prouder of them. When I reflect on the term and the quality of learning and support the students have received from our amazing staff it has exceeded my expectations. The adjustments we have made to timetables for next term and the decision to commit to the Year Group Bubbles until May half-term provides a certainty around the school day and learning expectations for students and staff, especially for Years 11 and 13 in the run up to their examinations.
You should have received a letter about next week and next term yesterday, it is also available on the website at https://www.cns-school.org/Letters-to-parents-carers/10th_December_2020.pdf
I hope everyone has a happy weekend and that you are able to safely enjoy some Christmas cheer.
