Headteacher's Message, Friday 11th February 2022
I wish to share my thanks to parents and carers for the support shown to the school this half term. Staff absence has resulted in disruption, and this is difficult for families to manage as well as being unsettling for children as they are put out of a routine. Students have shown understanding and resilience and I remain confident that we will be in a stronger position with student and staff attendance after half term.
This week several students stood for the regional Ormiston Student Council, and we will find out the results of the elections after half term. This is a great opportunity for our students to work with students from other OAT academies and share their ideas for making our schools even better. Student voice is powerful at CNS and after half term, I will be speaking to KS3 students about how they can be more involved in sharing their excellent ideas for positive improvements at CNS.
CNS head students presented their legacy projects to the senior team last night and their contribution to careers education, PSHE curriculum and our eco-policy is breathtaking. I am so proud that our students want to drive change at CNS, have their voices heard, and leave their legacy to the benefit of the wider CNS community.
I hope everyone is able to take a very well-deserved break this half term and enjoy time with family and friends.
