Headteacher's Message, Friday 17th June 2022
I have had the absolute pleasure of going to North Norfolk this morning to visit the students and staff on one of the three bronze expeditions for their Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Due to the heat, the students had risen at 5am to make an early start on their six-hour hike. By the time I arrived two groups had already set off with all their equipment. The assessor was very impressed by their organisation and the staff were monitoring their progress through GPS trackers provided by Ormiston. Watching the maturity and independence the students were demonstrating and listening to the contribution they have made to the community through their volunteering hours, shows what a worthwhile scheme the Duke of Edinburgh Award is. My thanks to all the staff involved for their hard work and commitment in making it possible.
Last night we welcomed Year 6 parents to CNS for an information evening. The event was well attended, and the pre-loved uniform made a huge number of sales. We are excited to meet our new Year 7 for their transition days in July and hope they are enjoying their final weeks at their current schools.
I am looking forward to the weekend and seeing my sons. I hope you have a safe and happy weekend too.
