Headteacher's Message, Friday 23rd June 2023

It has been a week of welcoming visitors to CNS! We are hosting a Department for Education Internship programme that provides undergraduates who are interested in getting into teaching, the chance to work in a school for three weeks. We are delighted to be one of the few schools selected to run the programme, and our interns have made a great start. On Tuesday we hosted Norfolk’s Headteacher Induction with primary and secondary headteachers from across the county meeting with students and staff for an informative day. Finally, yesterday we had teachers visiting from Switzerland to learn about the English education system. All these events not only provide an opportunity to showcase CNS, they enable us to learn from our visitors as well, and I am always delighted when CNS is able to be part of these occasions. 

I am in London today for the OAT Principals’ Conference, where we will be saying farewell to the Trust’s CEO Nick Hudson, who is retiring and will be greatly missed.  

I hope everyone has an enjoyable time at the CNSFest and a lovely weekend.
