Headteacher's Message, Friday 25th March

This week finally brought to the Fisher Centre the school production, The Sound of Music, which is simply stunning. Bringing a production together during the last few months has taken teamwork and resilience as well as immense commitment from Emma Cook, her team, and the students; my congratulations to everyone involved and I am looking forward to seeing it again tomorrow.

It has been a remarkable week for CNS Sixth Form. Not only have they have been starring in The Sound of Music and studying hard, but they have also been making time for several worthwhile community events. On Wednesday they raised awareness of the war in Ukraine and raised funds through a bake sale. On Thursday they commemorated victims of gender-based violence and the death of Sarah Everard through a week of assemblies, the publication of their superb EXiA magazine, and raising funds for the Leeway Centre. These student-led events show the power of student voice at CNS and were conducted in a mature and responsible way. I am immensely proud of all their achievements.

I wish you all a safe and happy weekend in the continued fine spring weather. Happy Mother’s Day to everyone, may the day bring happiness and time for reflection for you all.
