Headteacher's Message, Friday 26th February 2021

There has been a lot of news this week impacting on our students and families. Reopening, additional funding and grading have all raised many questions for families and I am grateful for your patience as we work through guidance and plan for our students.

I have written to families today with information for the wider reopening of CNS from March 8th,  this can be found here. I cannot wait for our community to be together again and Covid prevention measures will remain in place to keep everyone safe, including voluntary testing of students and staff. Our Test Centre has been in successful operation since January and is a brilliant team effort by staff, we will write to you with detailed plans for testing next week.

Year 11 and 13 parents and carers will be pleased that there is a decision on how GCSE and A’ level grades will be awarded this summer. We are delighted students will have many opportunities to show their learning and we will ensure a fair, robust and transparent approach to grading. We will keep parents and students fully informed of how grading will be awarded, please note that Results Days have moved to the week of August 9th.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable half term break and have a lovely weekend.
