City of Norwich School

Headteacher's Message, Friday 26th November 2021

At the Ormiston Conference last week CNS was awarded the ‘Share What is Best Award’, one of four new awards to reflect the OAT values. We are delighted to be recognised in this way and importantly, that we are reflecting the values of the Trust.  Values are important to a school as they shape the way we act and behave as well as the decisions we make in the interests of our school community. CNS values centre around the way we are kind and considerate, take pride in ourselves and our school, and treat everyone with equally and value their individuality and uniqueness.

Students have been demonstrating these values through the bulb planting project led by Mrs Van de Molen, who has organised mass spring bulb planting to celebrate the rejuvenation of life that the flowers will bring in spring. Four students who have also demonstrated their contribution to the CNS community through these values are Nathan Young, William Moulton, Freddie Sweeting and Elliott Smith who completed a 200k run raising funds for their football club and for CNS.  This is a superb achievement and shows determination and resilience.

I am looking forward to a weekend of Christmas shopping and hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend.
