Headteacher's Message, Friday 28th February 2020
I hope you and your family had a lovely half term. Students and staff have returned refreshed and rested after the holiday. School has been purposeful this week with Year 9 hearing about their GCSE opportunities in assemblies to be followed by an information evening for parents next Thursday. Students have been enthused and informed by the assemblies and with a wide curriculum offer they are excited for their studies next year. We also wished our Year 11 Drama students good luck this week as they had their practical examination.
The CNS community has been busy after the regular teaching day with many students enjoying co-curricular opportunities in and out of the classroom. Our peripatetic music colleagues are a major factor in the success of music at CNS and enable us to offer a breadth of provision rarely found in state secondary schools. Therefore, we are very concerned by the news of potential cuts to the Norfolk Music Service as detailed in the press. Mr Sunderland is gathering more information and welcomes any parental comment that we can feed back to the music service.
We shared information regarding COVID-19 on our website this week and ask that parents follow the Public Health Guidance as outlined here https://www.cns-school.org/News/Coronavirus-advice/
I hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy whatever you have planned.
