Headteacher's Message, Friday 28th June 2019
Yesterday we welcomed future Year 12 students to CNS for the Year 12 Induction Day. Students from a broad mix of Norwich and Norfolk high schools came together to experience A’ level lessons, meet new (and old) friends, socialise over a barbeque and listen to the many benefits of joining the CNS Sixth Form and School community. Mr Sprake, who leads the Sixth Form, shared the many successes of the CNS Sixth Form including the record number of Oxbridge and Russell Group places, competitive apprenticeships and award successes our students achieve and progress to.
This week alone students from CNS Sixth Form have won a National Film Competition, been awarded the prestigious Youth STEMM Awards, won a Fly Festival poetry competition, won UEA Villiers Park Scholar of the Year and performed at the Norfolk Show. Underpinning all of this is excellent teaching and pastoral care ensuring all students make progress, achieve and feel safe and happy in the Sixth Form environment. We are immensely proud of our Sixth Form and the contribution it gives to the school and wider community and look forward to welcoming the new Year 12 and their families in September.
I am looking forward the heatwave at the weekend and getting in the garden. I hope you have a good weekend, keep safe in the sun and enjoy whatever you are doing.
