Headteacher's Message, Friday 29th March 2019
Three of the Ormiston National Directors have visited CNS this week, as have local Headteachers and I am always delighted to be able to show visitors around the site. First time visitors to the school are always surprised by how the vast the campus is and don’t realise how much open space there is for our students. Yesterday lunchtime this was apparent as very few students were to be found inside the buildings and the playing fields were alive with children and young people playing, talking and laughing. We do not take our space for granted or how much it brings to the local community. The school site is busy most evenings and weekends making CNS a true community school, something I value greatly.
Students have been working hard this week especially our Year 11 and 13 groups for whom examinations are now not far away. It can be a very stressful time for students taking examinations who are being supported by teachers and House teams as well as their families. If you are the parent of a Year 11 or 13 student and would welcome any guidance ahead of the Easter break, please do contact your child’s form tutor or House team.
I am looking forward to Mothering Sunday when I will be with family and I hope you have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned.
