Headteacher's Message, Friday 29th November 2019
The week got off to a fiery start with the Norwich South candidates gathering for what Clive Lewis later quoted as the ‘the most interactive hustings I have done yet...great questions, great audience.’ In fact, social media was alight with positivity around the event and my thanks to staff and students for their participation.
I have also been welcoming Primary Headteachers to school to visit their ex-students in Year 7 and see how they are progressing. This is a lovely thing to do and student faces are a mix of surprise and joy as they see a familiar face coming to see them. In addition for Year 7, last night’s Parents' Evening was full of positive conversations about settling in, progress, lesson content and how to support your child. Thank you to all who attended.
We have been monitoring bikes leaving the site and asking students to dismount to ensure a safer approach to the road. We have noticed how many bikes are not winter ready and we continue to receive phone calls from the worried public who can’t see the cyclists due to an absence of lights, reflective clothing or helmets. Please can parents and carers ensure bikes are winter ready before allowing students to use them for school.
Thank you for your continued support of CNS and I hope you have a lovely weekend whatever you have planned.
