Headteacher's Message, Friday 31st March 2023
The spring term has flown by and a lot has been achieved for so many of our students and staff. Excellence was celebrated in rewards assemblies this week with so many of our students receiving prizes and certificates. I am always particularly proud of students with no negative points as this demonstrates real determination to succeed, and continually meeting expectations shows real resilience.
Last night was our first year group face-to-face parents evening and it was a joy! Having parents in school engaging in conversation with teachers was wonderful to see. For many of our staff this was their first experience of such an event and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. I intend to survey parents and staff next term regarding the future of parents’ evenings and how we can further improve home school communication.
Thank you for your support this term and messages of positivity. It has been a disrupted term due to national strike action and I am grateful for your patience. I will keep you fully informed of any further action once we know more.
I hope everyone has a relaxing time over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and school break. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on April 18th after the staff training day on April 17th.
