Headteacher's Message, Friday 4th February 2022
Today is Nick Stone’s funeral and many colleagues past and present will be in attendance to pay respects on behalf of our colleague who worked at CNS for just over 30 years. I will be delivering a eulogy which I hope goes some way to marking the impact of Nick’s career at CNS. I have included the eulogy in this week's newsletter. Nick’s absence is tangible, and many people have asked that we hold a commemoration service in Norwich. Nick’s family are supportive of this, and we have been waiting for the funeral to take place before planning of the service begins.
Former CNS Headteacher Gordon Boyd wrote to express his sympathy and accurately described Nick as ‘an effective languages teacher, an efficient and reliable organiser and a loyal and supportive colleague.’
Nick’s family have asked that I thank everyone for the overwhelming words of kindness they have received from the CNS community. Nick’s mum told me they have brought great comfort and that she had no idea of the impact he had made on so many lives. The book of condolence is still open for anyone wishing to contribute: Online Book of Condolence
I hope everyone has a well-deserved rest this weekend after a disrupted week; I am confident we will be able to return to full opening very soon.
