City of Norwich School

Headteacher's Message, Friday 4th September 2020

A very warm welcome back to all members of the CNS community!

We have been working hard at CNS throughout the summer and over the last two days to prepare the site for the new timetable and to ensure we are Covid-safe. I have never been as excited about getting back to school and it is clear that all staff are sharing my excitement about the return of students as well as being able to welcome new students to Y7 and Y12.

Next week’s transition week is designed to allow the whole school population to safely return so students feel safe, confident and happy and are ready for learning. We are very aware of the anxiety and nerves students may have about their return to school and we will spend time next week discussing how to adapt to change and look after your mental health.

Yesterday I shared information regarding the return to school and you will have today been emailed more information regarding PE kit and music lessons. We have tried to communicate as much information as possible and please refer to the FAQs and information shared in July as well as regularly checking the website for any updates.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and a very positive year to come.
