Headteacher's Message, Friday 6th December 2019
How is it December?! The cold weather has brought great beauty to the site with sparkling frosts, pretty sunrises, mist across the fields and stunning sunsets. I am not sure Year 11 saw or felt the same tranquillity as they entered a cold sports hall on Monday morning for the first of their mock examinations. I must congratulate Year 11 on the way they have conducted themselves during the examinations and how seriously they have taken this dress rehearsal for the summer exams. I know this is a stressful time for parents as well so please contact House teams if you would like any support.
Last year’s Year 11 the Class of 2019 returned to school last night for their GCSE Awards Evening and it was wonderful to be able to celebrate all their achievements and success. The evening was a true celebration and our guest speaker and former student Tim Kinnaird of ‘medicine to macarons’ fame gave an inspired speech of advice and guidance from a range of former students he is still in touch with; the key message was to be kind and seize opportunity.
Thank you for your continued support of CNS.
