Long Stratton Motor Company inspires Greenpower students

A group of Year 9 students who are currently working on this year's Greenpower challenge, recently enjoyed a trip to Long Stratton Motor Company.  The Greenpower Challenge involves building and designing an electric race car which the students will then race in an inter-school race at the Lotus racetrack in Hethel this coming summer. 

The team at Long Stratton Motor Company gave the Greenpower team time to discuss the project and the students were then shown around the garage.  This was followed by a presentation and a question/answer session on building the vehicle. 

Teacher of Creative Technologies, Ms Hassan said "The students learnt huge amounts and found real direction to their project, giving them invaluable information.  This was a wonderful opportunity to work with engineers in the industry on this exciting project".
