MFL Bake-Off 2022
As part of the 26th September European Day of Languages celebrations, CNS hosted its well-loved MFL bake-off…..and what a result!!
We had 11 cakes baked by students from all different year groups, and all of them with a story. We tasted Greek Revani cake baked by Will, Rugelach baked by Ruth, Dutch Apple cake baked by Max, and a beautiful millefeuille baked by Chanel. There was also a mystery cake which turned out to have been made by our teacher of sociology, Mr Holmes!
Each of our students spoke to us about their cake’s exciting heritage, and the decoration was stunning. We also got to taste all of them, and they were delicious!
It was a tough decision – but as a department, we awarded the following prizes in three categories:
1st Prize for Cultural Vibrancy: Betsy for her Japanese Matcha-Maki Roll cake
2nd Prize for Decorating Artistry: Eva for her Spanish Madeira Cake and Emma for her French Sponge cake
3rd Prize for Divine and Delicious: – Will for his Revani
These students will receive special prizes, and all participants will get a mini sweet treat!!
Congratulations to the winners and a big well done to everyone that took part.
