National Reading Champions Quiz

Last week, some of our students from Years 6 to 8 took part in the National Reading Champions Quiz 2022 heat for the East of England. 

The quiz, which is run by the National Literacy Trust, was held virtually and provided a fantastic opportunity for the students to enjoy a book quiz with their peers and compete with other schools in their region. 

The CNS teams finished in 'mid-table' positions and did admirably given that some of the participants were drafted in at the eleventh hour due to unforeseen absences. 

CNS Librarian Paul Wilson said "The most important thing of all (as always with these events) is that the students fully enjoyed the experience of being involved, with both teams channeling their collective competitive spirit!" 

A big well done to everyone for their preparation and effort in taking part.
