Norwich Foodbank Appeal a huge success

As part of it's charity work, Sixth Form once again supported Norwich Foodbank this year in providing food parcels that help give emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.

This year the food parcels were organised slightly differently, with each Form in the school being given a box with a list of 27 items to put in, the contents of which will support a family of two adults and two children.  Each student in every Form in the school was asked to commit to bringing in one item from the list and the results were staggering, with an amazing 67 boxes being collected by volunteers from Norwich Foodbank last Friday!

Norwich Foodbank is an invaluable resource to those in need and we encourage all our students to continue giving across the year. During the first 6 months of 2019 alone, Norwich Foodbank distributed 5,593 food parcels – a 25% increase on the same period 2018 and they expect to distribute over 1,000 food parcels this December.

Well done to Sixth Form staff and students for their amazing work and a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this worthy cause.
