OAT STEMFest Competition

We are thrilled to announce the launch this week of STEMFest; a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths based opportunity, open to students from years 7-11, to take part in a social action project and competition, focusing on any aspect of STEM.

Students can work alone or in small groups to develop a STEM based idea, which could solve a big problem in society. You will need to produce a short video of up to 3 minutes on your chosen idea and submit it online. Possible areas of focus could include;

  • Homelessness
  • The growing food shortage
  • Food poverty
  • The environmental cost of  fast fashion

The video presentations will be judged in a regional heat and the top two groups, in each key stage (2, 3 and 4), will move onto the national finals.

Every child who takes part will be recognised for their efforts and win prizes!

If you are interested in making a video, by yourself or with your friends, please email Ms Irvine at: c.irvinemills@cns-school.org
