Podium finish for CNS in Kids Lit Quiz
Congratulations to the CNS team who finished 3rd in the annual Kid's Lit Quiz. There were 32 teams representing 19 schools.
The East of England heat was held at Thetford Academy on 14th November. The aim of the quiz is to celebrate the love of books and literacy. Teams took part from all over the world. The final is due to take place in Toronto, Canada in 2017.
The CNS team of Ava and Amelia from Year 8 and Poppy and Saffron from Year 7 accepted the challenge and did extremely well.
Prizes were awarded at the end of each round in recognition of the team scoring the most points. CNS joint top-scored in three rounds.
The CNS team finished on 76 points, the same amount as another team so they had to answer a 'sudden-death' question. The girls were the first team to correctly identify Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and claim outright third position.
The winners were Litcham School Team 2 who go on to contest the UK National Final in London.
Staff at CNS couldn't have been happier for - or prouder of - all four students involved. Well done Ava, Amelia, Poppy and Saffron.
