Rotary Young Chef Competition 2019-20
Four CNS students turned up the heat last week, when they competed against 3 students from other schools in a local round of the Rotary Young Chef Competition 2019-20, hosted here at the school.
The long running and successful competition is organised and promoted by Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland. It is a four stage national competition which involves local, district and regional heats that culminate in a national final and is designed to support and encourage development of cookery skills in young people.
The students took part in just one of many local heats currently taking place and were tasked with planning, costing and preparing a healthy and tasty three course meal for two people which was then judged by Peter Senior, the Young Chef Specialist 2019/20.
CNS students Faolann, Pollyanna, Lily and Samantha competed against two students from Wymondham College and one from Langley School. Well done to Pollyana who came second place (runner-up) and Lilly who won 'Dish of the Day' with her profiteroles.
All of the food looked and smelt delicious!
