Student's sub design a success!

A team made up of three Year 12 students from CNS have been awarded the runners up prize in this year’s Design A Sub Challenge.

The challenge, which is run by the fast food franchise Subway every year, calls for students to design a new sub for its stores. As part of their entry, the students also had to produce a business plan and marketing plan to a fictitious £50,000 budget.

The competition aims to provide students with the opportunity to take part in a challenge that gives insight into real-life business planning, with the potential to see their sub end up on sale in Subway stores throughout the region.

Mya, Lucy and Joana’s team was one of six shortlisted from 100 entries.  They pitched their business to a panel of East Anglia Subway store owners at the competition final held in St Edmunds College, Cambridge University, before impressively claiming second place and scooping a £250 cash prize.
