Super Science Saturday 2023

On Saturday 11th March, the Science department hosted their 10th face-to-face Super Science Saturday. We had approximately 300 visitors who participated in hands-on-science activities, including modelling how the nose protects us from bacteria and viruses, learning how to use morse code, and modelling the circulatory system.

The event was organised in conjunction with the UEA, with students completing the science communications unit planning and facilitating many of the activities.  We were also supported by the Norfolk Amateur Radio Club, who brought a range of different activities for everyone to try, and the CNSA, who provided refreshments.

Students from CNS who are part of the Year 7 and 8 science club 'lab rats', supported people with fire writing and making latex balls, and our Year 13 project Pi club demonstrated the thermal imaging camera they are designing to look at the energy efficiency of some of the school buildings.
