Winterton Quintet to visit No.11 Downing Street

A group of sixth form students who have performed music together since they started at City of Norwich School have been invited to No.11 Downing Street with Ms.Philpott, Head of School at CNS.

Sarah Walton, Leila Hooton, Kara Kordtomeikel, Lucy Rodd and Hannah Bradfield perform together as the Winterton Quintet and have played at various events both inside and outside school. They have raised over £3000 together for several charities through busking and performances.

The students are invited by the Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond as part of an event celebrating enrichment within the Ormiston Academies Trust. The event takes place on Tuesday 7th February 2017.

It's very exciting, not many people can say they've been to No. 11 Downing Street, this is our 7th year of performing together and we are really good friends."     Sarah

We're all really excited, we couldn't quite believe it!"    Hannah

Beyond No.11 and CNS, the group still hope to play together in the future. From left to right in the photo, Hannah is going to study English Literature and Sports Science, Leila is going to study music, Lucy is going to study Biomedical Sciences, Sarah will study Chemistry and Kara is hoping to be a vet.
